Degree in engineering

CompTIA Security+ / CISM

ITIL certification

MCSE

CCNA / CCNP

Firewall vendor certifications

Any other industry certifications / application vendor certifications
Minimum of 7 years of experience in leading IT security team in a high security industry; preferably banking.

Extensive experience in managing security projects and activities.

Overall experience in managing vendors and internal resources.
Excellent understanding and experience in banking security practices and regulatory requirements.

Excellent understanding and experience in implementing security requirements of applications, operating systems, databases and networks.

Must be well versed with banking applications and solutions.

Must have experience with identity and access management solutions.

Must have experience with various firewalls and network security solutions.

Must have experience with end user security solutions and practices.

Must have experience with remote access / mobility solutions and its security requirements.

Must be able to independently assess the security situation and arrange for the rectification of identified gaps.

Must be a hands on security professional.

Experience with cloud security would be an added advantage.

Must have extensive knowledge and experience with policy and procedures.

Must be able to anchor internal, external and compliance audits within IT.

Must be experienced in managing the remediation of audit / compliance issues and should be well versed with implementation approaches.

 
Experience in working in a multi-disciplinary team of various nationalities.

Experience in working in high pressure and multi project environment.

Candidate should be willing to take additional responsibilities

Excellent command over English and Arabic would be a plus.

The candidate should be ready to work in 24 x 7 activities based on the situation.
