Minimum 10 years as a Champion in writing, updating Operations Manuals, developing procedures and processes for all existing and new banking operations incorporating all regulations from Central Bank, and other concerned authorities as per Federal Law No 14.

Primary Responsibilities

·         Process re-engineering of Bank’s operational procedures and standardizing using the best practices including using tools and or concepts such as robotic automation, artificial engineering etc

·        Based on turnaround time for operation processes, identify roles and responsibilities, define the Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

·         Review from operational risk perspective all new and existing  products, processes including outsourcing activities and provide expert opinion from operational risk perspective to business units

·         Undertake Manuals revision and formalize new procedures and manuals for branches and centralized operations that includes ongoing revisions forms and documentations along with process flows with flow charts for existing and new products and processes

·         Participate in UAT/Implementation of assigned new applications /process to ensure that the change-over is smooth and error free.

·         Identify and suggest training requirements and conduct training programs for operational staff in understanding system behavior, and with impact on operational procedures

·         Ascertain corrective measures to be taken to clean data wherever required and upgrade user knowledge to avoid repetition of problem

·         Transform new business requirement of users into technical designs for Bank IT team to develop new programs and reports.

·         Participating in testing new products / outsourcing activities through risk assessment for materiality assessment, due diligence etc.

·         Review all Internal Audit department and Compliance and Internal Control departments’ suggestions and revising procedures and processes at branches based on their recommendations after studying the feasibility of such changes.

Secondary Responsibilities

·         Understands business needs/expectations from systems and applications perspective and perform change management planning which includes building effective relationships, influence and motivate operations units to ensure their commitment to the achievement of operational excellence

·         Ensure timely implementation by directing, guiding others, and applying various operational excellence tools to resolve problems including providing training wherever required

·         Participate in RSCA activities on Bank’s processes to address operational risk exposure in consultation with OR personnel

·         Accountable for increasing the awareness levels of the staff in the various processes and service quality. This includes focus on creating a work environment that engages employees at all levels in the business to help drive out unnecessary work, improve and simplify processes, and continually reduce operational costs

·         Ensure compliance with Central Bank regulations and Bank’s operational policies and procedures.

·         Review all High risk issues reported by audit and evaluate their suggestions or alternative processes/controls to mitigate risk.

·         Manual writing skills by documenting all policies and standard operating procedures in sufficient detail which act as perfect guidance to employees on various types of operational activities  Bank’s products and services and channels.

·         Compilation/ preparation of reports, presentations to management.

·         Identify risks, plug the gaps, implement Quick fixes on process issues, update procedures and share best practices to actively participate in the improvement of overall operations.

·         Possess the expert knowledge to identify opportunities and convey the need for change and experience dealing with Senior Executive and stakeholder management

·         Strong analytical skills combined with a high degree of commercial awareness and the ability to contribute to the strategic development of the business as a whole

·         Knowledge on various statistical tools using business workflows, operations processes & systems, RPA, artificial intelligence etc.

·         Previously worked in local Banks in UAE

·         Previously worked in Banks of large size if from other countries.

·         Must have managed minimum 1 or 2 subordinates, address teams

·         Excellent communication skills, especially related to facilitation, documentation and reporting.

·         Able to manage multiple priorities and eexceptional ability to remain calm under stress.
